Honoring Krabi’s Living Legacies: The Phukaoluan Foundation Leads the "100-Year-Old Blessed Krabi Elders 2026" Initiative
The "100-Year-Old Blessed Krabi Elders 2026" Gratitude and Honor Project, led by the Mr. Sriphong - Mrs. Kee Phukaoluan Foundation in collaboration with the Krabi Education Council and public-private networks, has embarked on a journey to visit and honor elderly citizens in Krabi who have passed the remarkable milestone of 100 years. This year, the project pays tribute to a total of 71 revered elders.
On May 5, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Manop Kanjanaburangkool, Manager of the Phukaoluan Foundation, was assigned by Mr. Chuan Phukaoluan to visit the project’s sixth recipient: Mrs. Lan Thongchai, a 101-year-old elder residing at House No. 19, Moo 6, Phru Din Na Sub-district, Khlong Thom District, Krabi Province. To express deepest respect and gratitude, a traditional wrist garland was presented, along with a 5,000 Baht cash gift, a fruit basket, rice, pillows, and a warm blanket.
This meaningful visit was made possible through the seamless cooperation of local authorities, led by Mr. Jeerasak Kongthanathawonsakul, Chief of Khlong Thom District, alongside members of the Khlong Thom District Red Cross Chapter, the District Public Health Office, the Krabi Provincial Office of Social Development and Human Security, local government organizations, village health volunteers (VHV), and local media. Together, they joined the fieldwork under the “100-Year-Old Blessed Krabi Elders 2026” campaign to honor, uplift, and bring joy to these elders—the foundational pillars of our society. The event beautifully united the power of gratitude and preserved Thailand’s rich cultural heritage, leaving both givers and receivers filled with smiles, heartwarming words, and eyes glowing with happiness.
Every step taken to visit these elders goes beyond delivering gifts or encouragement; it is about "passing on the profound value of life" that they have cultivated over a century. It serves as a gentle reminder for the younger generation to realize the timeless beauty of "gratitude."
